Absence/Presence Series addresses social and cultural concerns, including absences/losses created by humans through abuses of nature. The series also engages presence/consciousness created by participating in creative community experiences.
“Absence/Presence” are cultural keywords that have been explored in the work of well-known artists such as Zoe Leonard and Felix Gonzalez-Torres, and more recently, artist Neha Choksi.
DOEprojekt’s upcoming work includes a workshop at Central Booking, NYC (April 2014) and a participatory installation at Ryerson Woods Nature Preserve, Deerfield, Illinois (July 2014).
DOEprojekts’ artist-collaborators, Deborah Adams Doering and Glenn N. Doering engage keywords, such as Absence/Presence, and also key forms called Coreforms.
